About the Project

In the central region, in partnership with SOLIDARIDAD, House of Seeds helped set up youth-focused plant nurseries in districts like Wakiso, Luwero, and Mpigi. These nurseries serve both as training centers and commercial seedling hubs, particularly benefiting growers unfamiliar with seed raising techniques. Treatment of coco peat, sowing techniques for various seed sizes, nursery care, application of pesticides and fertilizers, and transplant timing were all covered in the training.
